Kiev resident carrying a stock of weapon in a night club detained in Dnepropetrovsk

In Dnepropetrovsk, law enforcement agents detained a resident of Kiev who carried a stock of weapon in a night club which was checked by police under suspicion of pimping,the press-service ofthe Ministry of Internal Affairs reports on Saturday.

‘Two carbines of calibre 7.62mm, 485 cartridges to Kalashnikov submachine gun and 45 more for Makarov pistol, nine magazines for Kalashnikov submachine gun, five grenades and fuses for them were found by police officers during a search sanctioned by court in a night club situated right in the centre of Dnepropetrovsk in Komsomolskaya Street,’ says the report quoted by Vestynewswebsite.

The search was conducted within a criminal proceeding launched under Rule 303, part 2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (pimping or attracting a person into prostitution). All the seized weapon belonging to a 49-year-old resident of Kiev was sent for an expertise to the Scientific and Research Expert and Criminology Centre at the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The man was detained underRule 208 of the Criminal Process Code of Ukraine (detention by an authorized person). ‘He will face court under Rule 263, part 1 (illegal handling with weapons, ammunition or explosives) providing for term of imprisonment for from three up to seven years,’ police stresses.
