Incidents near ‘Sberbank of Russia’ branches qualified as terroristic attacks

Incidents which occurred near ‘Sberbank of Russia’ branches on April 2 are qualified as terroristic attacks, Korrespondent news web site reports referring to the press-service of the Security Service of Ukraine.

‘The Investigative Department of the Main Department of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kiev and the Kiev Region has registered information about explosions in Solomensky and Shevchenkovsky districts of Kiev in the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations. They are qualified as terroristic attacks under Rule 258, part 1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine,’ says the report.

The Kiev Prosecutor’s Office made a decision to investigate the cases within one legal proceeding. An investigative and operative group has been created which comprises specialists of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Prosecutor’s office. The report also reveals one of the versions saying that the incidents were organised by order of Russian secret services in order to destabilise social situation in Kiev.

‘All law enforcement bodies of the Kiev Region actively perform anti-terror and counter-intelligence measures for finding and bringing to court all responsible people,’ states the report.
